A Three-Phase Pad-Mounted Transformer is a compact, fully enclosed, oil-immersed electrical distribution transformer designed to safely convert medium-voltage grid electricity into usable three-phase low-voltage power for commercial, industrial, residential and infrastructure applications. Installed on a ground-level concrete pad, the transformer integrates the transformer tank, high-voltage and low-voltage connection compartments, protective devices and associated accessories within a secure, weather-resistant enclosure.

Specifications

BDACEE Three-Phase Pad-Mounted Transformers are designed as three-phase, oil-immersed, outdoor distribution transformers with ONAN cooling. The typical high-voltage configurations of 13.2 kV, 24.9 kV and 34.5 kV GrdY, while the family comparison matrix lists typical low-voltage configurations of 208Y V and 480Y V. Final voltage ratings, transformer capacity, impedance, vector group, insulation level, dimensions and terminal configuration should be confirmed against the factory-approved technical datasheet and the customer's RFQ before quotation or production.

The transformer is designed for operation within applicable three-phase power distribution systems and can be engineered for the required project frequency, normally 50 Hz or 60 Hz, subject to the final approved design. The standard cooling arrangement is ONAN, meaning Oil Natural/Air Natural, where the insulating liquid circulates naturally inside the transformer and heat is transferred to the surrounding air through natural convection

The exact transformer rating should be selected based on the connected load, demand characteristics, future capacity requirements, voltage system and installation conditions. Before order confirmation, the technical specification should define the rated kVA, primary voltage, secondary voltage, frequency, vector group or connection arrangement, impedance, tap requirements, insulation requirements, applicable standard, accessories, environmental conditions and installation requirements.
