Main Power
A single-phase pole-mounted transformer is an outdoor distribution transformer designed to reduce medium-voltage electrical power from an overhead distribution network to a lower voltage suitable for residential, commercial, agricultural, rural and selected industrial loads. The BDACEE Single-Phase Pole-Mounted Transformer is designed for overhead distribution systems and provides a compact, utility-oriented solution for electrical power transmission and distribution. The transformer uses an oil-immersed ONAN cooling system and is available in configurations for 50 Hz and 60 Hz power systems. The product is designed for overhead 11 kV, 13.2 kV, 22 kV and 34.5 kV distribution lines, with common ratings from 5 kVA to 333 kVA and typical LV configurations including 120/240 V or 433/250 V, subject to the exact factory configuration and customer requirements.
The transformer is intended for urban and rural industrial and agricultural power grids as well as industrial and mining applications
The defining characteristic of this transformer is its pole-top or overhead-line installation configuration. It is designed to integrate directly with overhead electrical distribution infrastructure.
The transformer is an oil-immersed distribution transformer. Transformer oil provides electrical insulation and transfers heat generated by the core and windings toward the transformer tank and external cooling surfaces. This construction is widely used for outdoor distribution transformers because it provides a compact and robust approach to insulation and heat management.
The transformer uses ONAN cooling.
The transformer oil circulates naturally through the transformer due to temperature differences, while heat is transferred to the surrounding air through natural convection.
The product is available in 50 Hz and 60 Hz versions. This allows the transformer to be configured for different electrical systems, provided the complete transformer design is specified and manufactured for the required frequency. The operating frequency should always be stated on the RFQ and technical datasheet.
